In this captivating tale, eight mischievous children (played by adults) confront the frightening folktale of Krampus, Santa’s sinister counterpart, who has a unique way of dealing with naughty children: whipping them with branches, stuffing them into sacks, and (for the exceptionally naughty) dragging them down to hell. Though Santa and Krampus once rode together, Krampus has vanished for decades, hiding away in the Austrian Alps. Some say, as the world grows naughtier, he’s waiting for the perfect time to make his return. Though some roll their eyes at the folktale, none of the children laugh when, one by one, they begin to disappear. |
