Check out this brand new VALHALLA music video!

We shot this last August at the salt flats, what all trendy artists must do. It was fraught with extreme temperatures and pain. Ever tried walking barefoot over a lake of crystalized salt? Ouch! P.S. you only have until Saturday night to experience VALHALLA 2022!

Every year the music gets better, the story more developed, and the experience more transformative. This year we've been especially blessed with fantastic talent, a wonderful director, a devoted crew, awesome fight and dance choreography, beautiful costumes, and a beautiful set. So many people have put in countless hours of love, and it shows.

Last night we hit a new record for merch sales with Valhalla t-shirts going like crazy. One fan was back for his ninth performance, and other fans from previous years told us they'd be back in 2023. As further evidenced by cheering crowds and standing ovations, something magical is going on, and you only have 3 more chances to catch it in 2022 (this Thu, Fri, and Sat).

Get ready to laugh (or to compete)! The twelfth annual Utah's Biggest Liar (tall tale contest) is coming up. Like stand up comedy, anyone can compete to entertain you with the most outrageous story for a $100 cash prize (and a year's worth of bragging rights with the coveted title of "Utah's Biggest Liar"). Reserve your seats to enjoy the fun or sign up to compete.

Great Hall Theatrical's Ballroom Dances at the Angelus Theatre

After a fantastic Winter season, Great Hall Theatrical's ballroom dances at the classy Angelus Theatre are coming back by popular demand in the spring! Enjoy three romantic dances in April, May, and June, including (just for fun) a special celebration of "Star Wars Day" on May 4th. There will be a Star-Wars-themed set of music, plus a prize for the best-dressed (Star Wars style) couple.

Do you know any actors, singers, dancers, playwrights, composers, directors, comedians, or magicians? Great Hall's Performing Arts Festival is an opportunity for emerging artists to take center stage, win awards, and take home cash prizes. Over an entire week's worth of events, there's tons of opportunities for everyone who belongs on a stage, and now's the time to prepare.

Great Hall's Year-round Youth Theatre Workshops are always accepting new students who want to learn acting, singing, dancing, play writing, stage combat, and more. With four to five full-length musicals per year, competitions, and a variety small classes catered to age, interest, and availability, there's tons of options. Try out a class and join in the fun!

Valhalla | A Viking Rock Opera is a musical love story between two unlikely people from two different worlds, a Viking and a nun. They start out as enemies but are forced to work together as they undertake a perilous voyage, and in the process, discover both the bad and the good in each other’s societies. The story explores European history as well as Norse mythology, especially the idea of Valhalla, the Viking heaven for those who die in battle.

A central theme is finding common ground, peace, and even love in the face of conflict and war, which seems rather appropriate for our time. There’s a rich cast of characters, including Vikings, knights, and mythological beings such as Odin, Thor, and the Valkyries. The music, as the term rock opera suggests, is upbeat and fun, similar in style to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
