Now accepting all kinds of submissions!

Do you know any actors, singers, dancers, playwrights, composers, directors, comedians, or magicians? Great Hall's Performing Arts Festival is an opportunity for emerging artists to take center stage, win awards, and take home cash prizes. Over an entire week's worth of events, there's tons of opportunities for everyone who belongs on a stage, and now's the time to prepare.

Check out this brand new VALHALLA music video!

Thanks to the support of our wonderful audiences, Valhalla 2022 had an amazing run. One fan came for his ninth performance. Other fans from previous years told us they'd be back in 2023. We met many groups, some sporting Viking helmets, who had traveled far to see the show without any friends or family members in it. Our biggest problem on closing night was that the standing audience wouldn't stop cheering until we started the encore number. First world problems, we know. Though it's a year away, we're already excited and making plans for our 2023 production.

Great Hall's Year-round Youth Theatre Workshops are always accepting new students who want to learn acting, singing, dancing, play writing, stage combat, and more. Valhalla Youth Edition 2022 was another hit. With four to five full-length musicals per year, competitions, and a variety small classes catered to age, interest, and availability, there's tons of opportunities. Try out a class and join in the fun! With open enrollments, there's never a bad time to get started.

Announcing "Utah's Biggest Liars"

Monday night marked the stiffest competition we've ever seen for our favorite annual storytelling contest, Utah's Biggest Liar. Six fantastic finalists competed at the Angelus Theatre to entertain the audience with the most outrageous tall tales. Every story was hilarious and masterfully executed, leaving the audience in stitches. We're thankful for our dedicated judges and audience votes for choosing the winners for us, because we certainly couldn't decide!

In third place was Jacob Earnest, in second place was Benjamin Hyde, and in first place, Utah's 2022 Biggest Liar, was Lynn Wing. We hope both our amazing competitors and audiences will join us next year for another round of laughs.
