Angelus Theatre (165 N Main, Spanish Fork)

The Great Hall Performing Arts Festival kicked off last weekend at the Angelus Theatre (165 N Main, Spanish Fork) with the 24 Hour Play Festival. Now, starting tonight and running through Wednesday, enjoy 6 brilliant and comedic short plays by local playwrights in the short play festival. Come laugh till it hurts, then vote for your favorite plays, a great date or family night. All 6 plays perform each night.

The Plays ...

Calculated Risks

Facing a mid-life crisis, an accountant drags his reluctant coworker onto a dangerous jungle safari, where they cross paths with a murderously wacky native. A play by Amanda Rodriguez.

Love Potion

This hilarious mixed up fairy tale by John Cobb is a yearly tradition at the Utah Renaissance Faire. We're excited to bring the magic to the Angelus Theatre.

A Play About Bacon and Robots

In a post-apocalyptic world ruled by the tyrannical Emperor Bot 5000, where humans have exchanged freedom for Bacon, a schoolgirl dares to ask why. A play by Jeffrey Payne.

Autocorrect

When modern "communication" go wrong ... horribly wrong. If you've ever had words twisted, context lost, or calls dropped, you'll love this play by YouTuber and multi-talented artist, Matthew Delafuente.

The Goose Girl

Louise Stapley Johnson's imaginative retelling of a classic folk tale, fused with magic, political intrigue, and Norse Mythology.

In Sync

Two people are paired together in the Tag Team competition in the Beat Box championship. Little do they know that a surprise, beyond cash prizes, lays in wait for the both of them if they win ... another fun play by the great Matthew Delafuente.

The theater festival is just the beginning. Come enjoy the variety acts festival on Thursday the 23rd, the music festival on Friday the 24th, and the awards ceremony of Saturday the 25th.
