We shot this last August at the salt flats, what all trendy artists must do. It was fraught with extreme temperatures and pain. Ever tried walking barefoot over a lake of crystalized salt? Ouch! P.S. you only have until Saturday night to experience VALHALLA 2022!
Every year the music gets better, the story more developed, and the experience more transformative. This year we've been especially blessed with fantastic talent, a wonderful director, a devoted crew, awesome fight and dance choreography, beautiful costumes, and a beautiful set. So many people have put in countless hours of love, and it shows.
Last night we hit a new record for merch sales with Valhalla t-shirts going like crazy. One fan was back for his ninth performance, and other fans from previous years told us they'd be back in 2023. As further evidenced by cheering crowds and standing ovations, something magical is going on, and you only have 3 more chances to catch it in 2022 (this Thu, Fri, and Sat). |

Valhalla | A Viking Rock Opera is a musical love story between two unlikely people from two different worlds, a Viking and a nun. They start out as enemies but are forced to work together as they undertake a perilous voyage, and in the process, discover both the bad and the good in each other’s societies. The story explores European history as well as Norse mythology, especially the idea of Valhalla, the Viking heaven for those who die in battle.
A central theme is finding common ground, peace, and even love in the face of conflict and war, which seems rather appropriate for our time. There’s a rich cast of characters, including Vikings, knights, and mythological beings such as Odin, Thor, and the Valkyries. The music, as the term rock opera suggests, is upbeat and fun, similar in style to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. |
